Carlos Alvarez Fernandez

Carlos Alvarez holds a Master degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Cordoba, Spain, and a Master in Business Management at IESE Business School. He also graduated from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France, in Leadership and Management.

Carlos spent most of his career with Limagrain Iberica where he occupied several positions before being appointed General Manager of Limagrain Iberica in 2010. He participated in the integration of teams and businesses following two mergers and acquisitions. He ran the company with the objective to convert it into a leader in the Spanish agriculture market. He also had responsibilities in several professional organisations, such as Anove, the Spanish breeding association.

In January 2018, Carlos became General Manager of Intermalta, unchallenged leader on the Spanish market with three plants.

His main missions will be to support the brewing market's growth with an increase of the production capacity, to follow up the continuous improvement processes, to establish long term relationships with the barley producers and to bring together the teams and the organization.

His office is based in San Adrian malt house, in the Navarre region, Spain.
