This November 3rd  2017, Intermalta – Malteurop’s subsidiary in Spain celebrate its 40th year anniversary.

Malteurop became the majority shareholder of record of Intermalta in 1991. This was an important stage in Malteurop’s development, because this equity acquisition was the group’s first investment outside France, in the San Andrian (Navarra) malting plant. With the malting plant at Albacete (Mancha), opened in 2001, and the new plant in Seville (Andalusia) in 2008, the total capacity of Malteurop’s three plants is now 315,000 tons.

Intermalta produces basic malts — Pilsen, Pale, Vienna, and Munich — from two- and six-row barley for brewers as well as malts for distillers. Its three malting plants are ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14000 (Environment), OHSAS (Health and Workplace Safety) and ISO 22000 (Food Safety) certified.

The anniversary celebration will take place in Seville with the attendance of the employees of Intermalta as well as honorary presence of top management officers from the Intermalta and from Malteurop Groupe.

May Intermalta continue to grow and be a strong part of Malteurop!
