Ian Maccan

Ian started his studies in the UK and then following emigration to Australia, completed his Mechanical Engineering degree at Swinburne University, Melbourne. Additionally he undertook a Business Management Development Course at Melbourne University as well as other management development courses.

Starting his professional life in Marine & Power generation, Ian joined the Australian malting industry in 1983, in an engineering support role. He progressed quickly into plant operations, followed by commercial and executive management roles within the industry. He has been responsible for the Australian operations since 1998, with New Zealand being included in his portfolio of responsibilities on its acquisition in 2000.

Ian appreciates the need to maintain a clear customer & quality orientated focus whilst achieving efficiency and profitability targets. The ability to continue to grow and develop the businesses is dependent on these important factors.
