Denis Julien

After earning a CAP diploma and a BEP in machining and welding, Denis Julien studied mechanical engineering at a private institution from 1970 to 1975.

He then worked for a manufacturer of industrial equipment, then in 1978 joined Champagne Maïs as director of maintenance.
After holding the position of manager of maintenance and new construction at the malting plant in Vitry-le-François, he became the plant’s Director.
In 1996, Denis was appointed technical manager and oversaw the construction and start-up of the malting plants for the Chinese subsidiary.
In 1999, on his return to France, he held the position of Engineering Director for the process of renovation and certification of the malting plants, before taking on the job of Group Technical Director.
In 2002, he supervised and coordinated engineering, construction, and training for the teams at the Ukrainian subsidiary’s malting plants and construction of the M3 malting plant in Vitry-le-François.

Today, Denis has the task of defining the Group’s technological choices and advising the directors of the subsidiaries in their operational deployment.
He plays a key role in the economic performance of the Group’s malting plants. He contributes to Malteurop’s growth policy by developing innovative solutions for engineering new production facilities.

Denis is also an aviation enthusiast and holds a private pilot’s license.
