Alain Caekaert
Global Procurement Director
After graduating from the Institut Supérieur Agricole in Beauvais, Alain started his career as a supplement purchaser with Purina Pet Food Company. He joined the malt business in 1994 as a barley procurement manager for Les Grandes Malteries Modernes, part of the Lesaffre Group.
In 2002 he moved to Wisconsin as Director of Barley Procurement and Logistics for their US division in charge of the North American market. During his time abroad for the Lesaffre group, then ADM group, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee with an Executive Master of Business Administration.
Alain moved back to Reims in late 2008 to take charge of Global barley position management, development and implementation of the Procurement and Sourcing Strategy and Best Practices for Malteurop Group.
Alain is married with three children. His main hobbies are outdoor activities, including running, biking and golfing.
