Malteurop in Poland
Malteurop Polska is one of the main producers and distributors of malt in Poland. The company’s partners include major breweries both at the international and the local level.
In 2007, Malteurop Groupe S.A. acquired a majority share of Baltic Malt, which now does business in Poland under the name Malteurop Polska Spółka z o.o. The history of our company, however is much older. The first malt production unit began operation in 1997, and has operated without interruption since that date, extending its activities in Poland and abroad.
In order to strengthen its partnership relations with the breweries, Malteurop Polska has set itself the priority, beyond producing and marketing malt, of extending its activity to the entire modern production chain, from barley to malt. With the goal of integrating its production chain, Malteurop Polska participates in the development of the production of superior-quality malting barley and supports the modernisation of agriculture in Poland.
In May 2011, Malteurop Polska and CM Holding Dania together formed a new company, GBT Spółka z o.o., based in Gdańsk and in charge of the construction and management of their bulk terminal in that city. The new installation is expected to begin operation in the second half of 2012.
