Social responsibility

Malteurop is an international group, with 23 sites in 12 countries on four continents, and thus its approach to sustainable development includes concern for development of the local economies. In all areas – barley sourcing, recruiting and human resources, supplies and industrial equipment, etc. –, Malteurop systematically draws on local resources in the regions where the Group’s subsidiaries are located.

Where sourcing and procurement of supplies and industrial equipment are concerned, using local resources reduces transportation, costs, and turnaround times while at the same time encouraging local economic development.

As for human resources, personnel for the subsidiaries are recruited and trained at the site; sharing of experience and skills within the Group is systematized, and transverse support at the technical, industrial, and agronomic levels is part of Malteurop’s company culture, which allows the subsidiaries to evolve within a framework of autonomous, controlled development.
