Reims, June 14, 2012 - The Association des Brasseurs de France (French Brewers’ Association) is holding its second “Open House” operation, called La Moisson des Brasseurs, Friday 22 to Sunday 24 June.
Some fifty breweries from throughout France will take part, holding events, tours and tastings to demonstrate the diversity of French beers.
The goal is to give the general public an opportunity to learn about the brewer’s craft and how beer is made, its origins in agriculture and the natural ingredients that go into it – essentially water, malt made mostly from barley, and hops.
This event is also an opportunity to underline the importance of the barley-malt-beer value chain in France: the world’s leading exporter of malt, the world’s leading producer of malting barley and the second-largest exporter of malting barley.
Malteurop, the world leader in the malt industry and partner to French brewers, salutes this initiative, which will spotlight the excellence and dynamism of the industry.
You can find out about all the participating breweries on a special site www.lamoissondesbrasseurs.com and on the Association’s institutional site www.brasseurs-de-france.com.
